
Executive Chef Brandon Sharp has been appointed to oversee the culinary direction of the resort and its centerpiece restaurant Solbar, a casual and hip bistro offering a dichotomous menu of fresh, healthful entrées and rich comfort food in an indoor-outdoor setting.
Sharp joins Solage Calistoga from some of the hottest restaurants in Northern California. Most recently, he was Sous Chef at the five-star Gary Danko in San Francisco. Prior to that, he was Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant August, a New Orleans culinary institution. He earlier worked as Chef de Partie alongside Thomas Keller at Napa Valley's world-renowned French Laundry.
Sharp received his education from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. He also earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
