We were honored and thrilled when the Food Network contacted us to be a part of Celebrity Chef, Robert Irvine and WWE Superstar, Gail Kim’s upcoming wedding. Robert and Gail enjoyed a romantic evening at Spa Solage that included mudslides, massages and a facials. Then they hosted their rehearsal dinner with their closest family and friend at the Solage main pool. We are excited to share a few personal moments from their spa day here.

As part of our Earth Month activities, General Manager, Richard Hill presented the Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition Executive Director and Board President , Chuck McMinn with a $16,000 donation in support of the organization’s continued development of a 47-mile biking, walking and running trail. The Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition is a grass-roots nonprofit organization with a vision to build a walking/biking trail system connecting the entire Napa Valley. We are excited to team up with Ma(i)sonry Winery and Art Collective Gallery to feature Sculpture artists, Archie Held in our Sculpture at Sunrise tour and brunch. You may recognize many of Archie’s pieces around property. He is an internationally recognized artist who has been creating sculpture since the late 1970s. His style is exquisitely simple and direct, primarily constructed in bronze and stainless steel, though he recently added glass and granite to his pallet of materials. His pieces can be found in many public and private collections throughout the US and Asia.

More than 5,200 cities and towns in 135 countries worldwide switched off their lights for Earth Hour 2011, sending a powerful message for action on climate change. This year, during Earth Hour 2012, the Vatican will be turning off the lights atop the dome in St Peter’s Basilica, and the United Nations will do the same in support of the movement.
