Please join us as we honor Earth Hour - the largest global environmental event in history. Through this initiative, individuals, communities, businesses and governments around the world will unite by turning out their lights for one hour to demonstrate support for sustainable action.
More than 5,200 cities and towns in 135 countries worldwide switched off their lights for Earth Hour 2011, sending a powerful message for action on climate change. This year, during Earth Hour 2012, the Vatican will be turning off the lights atop the dome in St Peter’s Basilica, and the United Nations will do the same in support of the movement.
