Planet Auberge- Wellness Week at Solage

In 2013 we have started our Fitness with Focus program. Spa Solage will be offering a variety of fitness retreats through out the year to help you become your best self. Whether you want to get healthier or try something new, our fitness with focus training series has just the workout to help you reach your fitness goals. We believe wellness start within and as part of our Planet Solage Earth Month initiatives we provided our associates with several complimentary fitness classes, healthy lunch options with nutrition facts and our annual wellness fair.

Our extensive wellness fair provides employees with the opportunity to meet and speak with members in our health community. Associates are able to learn about health benefits provided through Solage and could sign up on site.

Fitness and Activities Manager, Donavan Almond held daily fitness classes including yoga, spin, zumba and a running group.

Associates were also encourage to attend Donavan’s nutrition class and invited to enjoy healthy lunch options in our employee dining room.

We also feel its important to contribute to our community. Our Planet Auberge team conducted our second community clean-up day in the town of Calistoga.

Employees were encourage to bring their recycling to Solage and all the money collected from the donated recycling was donated to the Calistoga Middle School Music Program.

Its Wedding Wednesday! Last summer we had the pleasure of working with elite wedding planner Brian Worely on celebrity rehearsal dinner for Chef Robert Irvine and WWE Star Gail Kim.

May Happenings at Solage

I’m pleased to share with you some new additions at Solage Calistoga designed to enhance your experience for the Summer season.

Let’s start with everyone’s favorite venue: the Adult Pool. From Memorial Day thru Labor Day, we will be offering a poolside breakfast menu from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m, every Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Breakfast is always a great way to start the day – now you may experience it at one of our most beautiful locations on property.

Of course, during the month of May we honor our mothers. What better way to show mom you care than by celebrating all she does year ‘round with a memorable family brunch at Solbar. Seatings are available by advance reservations click here from 11:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After brunch, surprise her with one of our exclusive Mother’s Day spa services available throughout the month of May at Spa Solage.

Sunday School at Solbar, our wine and spirit tastings, and Food of Place, our culinary series, continue this month with a variety of flights and bites. Click here for details regarding these complementary offerings.

Earth Month at Solage

Hello Friends,

Springtime in Napa Valley showcases Mother Earth at her best. The promise of renewal is evident in the vines coming back to life and the abundance of wildflowers covering the hillsides. While all this is enough cause for celebration, we felt the need to honor our planet with our Earth Month tribute at Solage.

Although there are many ways we embrace nature throughout the resort every day – by tapping into our geo-thermal spring for healing waters at the Bathhouse pools, sourcing culinary ingredients from local organic farms, and ensuring guest rooms and public spaces are furnished and maintained with sustainable materials – we are enhancing our focus on sustainability all month long.

On April 22nd, Solbar Executive Chef Brandon Sharp will be offering a complimentary organic vegetable antipasti during dinner service, highlighting many of the organically-grown ingredients sourced for the Solage kitchen every day. The bar will also offer “Purple Haze,” a hand-crafted cocktail available throughout the month that features products from local artisan distillers and farms. Throughout April, Spa Solage will be featuring our new Marie Veronique Pacific Ultimate Anti-aging facial.

In addition, Solage is supporting the Napa Valley Vine Trail, an extensive walking and biking path. The trail will stretch from the Vallejo Ferry to Calistoga. Donate $20 or more to the Napa Valley Vine Trail at the Spa Solage Reception Desk or in Solbar and receive a Solage wine tote. For every ‘Like’ we receive on our Solage Calistoga and/or Solbar Facebook page during the entire month of April, we will also donate $1.

Planet Solage – Earth Hour

On Saturday, March 23rd at 8:30 p.m. along with all of Auberge Resorts and more than 7,000 cities in over 150 countries successfully participated in Earth Hour to raise environmental awareness, which set a new record.

Martha Stewart Weddings – Darrin + Lauren

We are thrilled to be part of Darrin + Lauren weddings recently featured in Martha Stewart Weddings. A backdrop of blush-toned silk created the perfect setting for the service. Peonies, gardenias, and various flower petals were scattered along the aisle so the scent of gardenia would float through the air as Lauren approached the altar. A living chandelier was made of air plants, succulents, carnations, and Juliet roses. It was filled in with several varieties of moss to create more depth and texture and hung from the ceiling of the reception space. Opalescent chargers paired with wood farm tables created an organic-yet-refined look, while a double-layered linen runner with raw edged organza added softness. Mini succulents matched the menus.
